The nest is a place of home, holding vulnerable new life. The nest is womb and vessel, cushioning and insulating. Protection is promised from wind and rain; the structure is also a hiding place from enemies. The nest is a beginning, wherein security and nurture allow for the development of new life. The nest is also a point of departure, a place to fall out of or fly away from. Also a place to which one may return, the nest offers a meditation for life.

Each image is oil and pencil on gelatin silver print. The unique images are 20 x 16 inches images. These interpretive studies have been made into limited edition from scans of the original images; the digital prints are 8x 10 inches on 19 x 13 inch Epson Velvet paper. The edition size is 25.
