Moving Pictures began as a simple documentation of the collections to be packed for relocation to a new studio. Much of my work and interest involves natural artifacts—bones, feathers, leaves, nests, and sundry found treasures. While packing, I realized the objects out of context, whether their own natural context or my contrived juxtapositions within accomplished work, held a unique impact. A new series began concerning transitions—personal ones—as well as the roles of natural objects, a blurring of metaphor and meaning.
